The autocorrect function is a useful feature on numerous typing-oriented apps, or devices, such as Word, smartphones, or tablets. It is a handy tool that helps you with your spelling and generally makes your typing more accurate.
However, there are moments when you don’t need it and want it turned off, because it annoys you, or makes the changes in the wrong way.

How to Turn off Autocorrect on Android
Turning off your Android Auto-correction requires the following actions:
- First, go to Settings
and type “Languages” in the Search box.
- Select “Languages & input”, among the search results,
and then go to “Manage keyboards”.
- After that, enter your keyboard’s Settings
and select “Text correction”.
- Scroll down until you see Auto-correction in the newly opened window,
and once you do, move the toggle next to it to off. Now, your phone’s auto-correction is turned off.
- If you also want to turn off the Auto-capitalization or spell check, these features are also present here, and just like with the auto-correction, you just need to find them and move the toggle next to them to off,
and that is pretty much it.
